New to Aiken’s First Baptist?
We know that connecting for the first time can bring up many questions, so we hope we can address a few of those. But, of course, if we miss something, feel free to reach out to us with any further questions you might have.
When and where do you worship?
Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. in our sanctuary, the big building on our campus with the tall, arched, clear windows. The address is 120 Chesterfield Street N., Aiken, SC 29801.
We have Bible study opportunities Sunday morning at 9:45 at various places around our campus. If you follow the signs toward the offices, someone should be there to greet you and help you find your way.
Where should I park?
We have a large parking lot on our campus, with entrances on both Chesterfield Street and Barnwell Avenue.
Where do I enter?
Most folks enter through the side doors of the Sanctuary as you walk from the parking lot toward the building.
What should I wear when I visit?
There is not a dress code for worship for God welcomes us as we are; and we welcome that way, too. Many in our church family do dress business casual; but our main goal is for you to feel comfortable and welcome.
How do you recognize visitors?
You will not be singled out, nor will you be asked to stand and be recognized as a visitor. We would appreciate it if you would fill out the welcome card that is attached to the bulletin and place it in the offering plate as it is passed during the service.
Is there a nursery available?
Yes. We have childcare volunteers who teach and care for our infants and preschoolers. Our nursery is located just across from the offices toward the Chesterfield side of our campus—toward the right of the building as you walk toward it from the parking lot. Four-year-olds and older are invited to join us for worship in the Sanctuary. Four- and five-year-olds can leave the Sanctuary for Children’s Church after the Children’s Message part of the way through the service.
When is the office open?
The church office is open Monday – Thursday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
